The Nerve Centre are recruiting for a Technician for the Fab Lab project (Part Time – 18 hours per week)
Salary: £20,000 per annum pro-rata.
Fab Lab is a concept developed by the Centre for Bits and Atoms at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Fab Lab’s (Fabrication Laboratories) effectively allow individuals across a very wide spectrum of skills and abilities to design and build almost anything that they can imagine.
The Technician will be responsible for maintaining, updating and safely operating the physical space and the equipment of the Fab Lab and for the supervision and delivery of the Fab Lab education and engagement programmes with local schools, community and business sectors. Applicants will have strong technical skills and knowledge of digital fabrication in addition to experience in education and training.
