Theatre at The Mill, Newtownabbey is seeking more dancers, particularly females, aged between 14 – 22 yrs old, to audition for its NI Premiere of the Smash Hit Musical Comedy ‘The Producers’, which will be staged this summer, directed by Peter Corry. This is a very different type of musical for Theatre at The Mill, compared to their previous summer youth shows, as it is much more dance led and they need more young people with a basic level of dance experience to be part of this unique opportunity even if they haven’t acted on stage before.
Following the success of the theatre’s previous summer youth musical projects with Les Miserables, and Oklahoma, and working under the guidance of international choreographer Fleur Mellor, ‘The Producers’ will provide aspiring young performers and dancers with the opportunity to develop their skills in a show which will have all the style of a big Broadway production as well as offering a fun few weeks over the summer holidays.
Young people who have some dance experience, aged between 14 – 22 yrs, seeking to audition for ‘The Producers’ should contact Theatre at The Mill on 028 9034 0202 to register. Successful cast will then take part in a four week training project from Sunday 15 July to Sat 12 August (costing £275), performing in 8 public shows at Theatre at The Mill from Friday 3 August. Successful participants must be able to attend every day of the project and perform in all public showings of the production.
