The 2012 Arts & Disability Awards opened on Wednesday 13 June 2012.
The grant scheme is for individual deaf or disabled artists and is managed by the Arts & Disability Forum on behalf of the two Arts Councils in the North and South of the island. Through this funding, artists with disabilities have developed unique artwork of extremely high artistic quality, some progressing to a level where international recognition is won. The scheme’s purpose is to identify, encourage and nurture individual talent amongst disabled practitioners. Individuals can apply for a bursary of up to £5,000 (or Euro equivalent).
The scheme is for all types of disabled people and all artforms. For more information on the criterion, contact the Arts & Disability Forum: Tel from UK (028) 9023 9450; Tel from RoI (048) 9023 9450 or email: gillian@adf.ie.
Please ensure that you download this year’s forms and guidelines when these become available, as there are usually slight differences from year to year. Further information to follow shortly. http://www.adf.ie.
