Anthology is a bit of a dark horse

The Dark Horse Coffee Bar in Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter was crammed on Saturday evening and the atmosphere was exciting as more than eighty poets and poetry lovers thumbed through the new anthology ‘The Poet’s Place’ produced by Community Arts Partnership showcasing new poetic work from across the region.

Thirty poets from across Northern Ireland read a selection of their own pieces featured in the anthology.  Attendees at the event had travelled from every county in the region and commented that it had been “a fantastic day with a great atmosphere all round” and “really enjoyable” and “well organised”.

One poet commented that “the quality and diversity of the poetry… is amazing”

“The Poet’s Place” is available from No Alibis bookstore on Botanic Avenue in Belfast or by contacting Community Arts Partnership.
